Blue Spider uses a stack of statistical and machine-learning models to find high-confidence betting edges across multiple sports. Here's what's under the hood.
The model stack
Each sport has its own dedicated model family, trained on historical data.
European Football Models
Dixon-Coles Poisson models combined with Glicko-2 team ratings. Covers 20+ European leagues with per-league strategy cells for Over/Under, BTTS and match result markets.
South American Football
Dedicated goal models for Brazil Série A, Chile Primera División and other SA leagues. Uses isotonic calibration and recalibration guards to prevent overfitting on small samples.
Baseball — MLB & NPB
Starting pitcher FIP-based models for MLB and Nippon Professional Baseball. Strategy rules validated on 30+ settled bets before live staking. Tracks Over/Under and moneyline edges.
Ice Hockey — NHL & KHL
Goalie performance features combined with team Elo ratings. Atomic boxscore cache writes and market-blended probability guardrails ensure robust real-time predictions.
UEFA Cup Models
Unified Glicko-2 and Dixon-Coles rating pool for Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Neutral-venue bias correction applied to all predictions.
Ensemble & Ranker
All model outputs are fed into a cross-model ranker that scores and filters bets by confidence, edge size and strategy cell performance. Only the highest-conviction picks reach VIP members.
From data to pick — the process
Data Collection
Match results, team stats, pitcher logs and player data pulled automatically every day across all sports.
Model Training
Models retrain on rolling windows of historical data. Recalibration guards prevent updates that hurt accuracy.
Probability Output
Each model outputs calibrated win probabilities for every available market — not just a gut feeling.
Edge Calculation
Model probability is compared to bookmaker implied odds. Only positive expected value bets are considered.
Strategy Filter
Per-league, per-market strategy cells validated on 25–30 settled bets before any selection goes live.
VIP Delivery
Surviving picks are published to VIP members with full transparency — every result tracked publicly.
